Technological innovations, driven by extensive research and development, are vital to progress in the sphere of healthcare, according to IEEE. As new technologies are applied on various fronts of healthcare, several workshops on creation of CCC Robotics Roadmap, which is set to determine the impact of robotics technology on various spheres of human lives, were held recently by the Computing Community Consortium (CCC). During the workshops, the organization developed a roadmap for wearable sensors till 2015, which outlines the major areas of their application and draws on the potential of the devices.
